COPPER GRADE A

catodi rameCopper grade A is quoted on London Metal Exchange (LME) and its contract (future) specifies a minimum 99.90% purity, according to BS EN 1978:1998 (Cu-CATH-1). Copper's future is quoted also on COMEX (a NYMEX division).

Copper grade A is in form of cathods (weigth from 12 kg to 26 kg) and minimum lots size (warrant) is 25 ton (tolerance +/- 2%). On the market you can find different producers, brands, forms and lot size.

Copper grade A is always accomplished with chemical analysis certificates.

During 2007 the global request of copper was about 24 milions tons. Other interesting data about worldwide consumption and production, are available on International Wrought Copper Council (IWCC).
